Where The Wild Things Grow
This body of work is a visual recording of a WWOOF work exchange undertaken during the summer of 2021. The interweaving roles of a herd of rare breed Golden Guernsey goats, Dexter cows, and an extensive diversity of trees and flora were observed in the rewilding of this 48-acre Smallholding in Cornwall, UK. The soil association certified farm values rewilding and ecological grazing methods, Its vibrant array of wildlife is no doubt an echo of the rich life below its soil. The site is also local to the most southerly point of the British mainland, The lizard peninsula, which is largely formed from rare metamorphic rocks, the jade green serpentine.
WWOOF (Worldwide opportunities on organic farms) is part of a worldwide movement to link visitors with organic farmers, promote cultural and educational exchange and build a global community conscious of ecological farming and sustainability practices.
